The review activities encompass the landscape of ethics and legal infrastructure within countries in the SSA, which involves a narrative literature review on the ethics and regulatory aspects of digital health applications in the SSA. Data will be collected qualitatively through Key Informant Interviews (KII) and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs). Consequently, have conducted thirty (30) KIIs and ten (10) FGDs with selected National Research Authorities and National Ethics Committees in sub-Saharan Africa. The purpose of the KIIs and FGDs is to solicit information on participants' experiences, needs, and gaps in the existing processes of selected NECs and NRAs, or the lack thereof. The Work Package will also involve a narrative literature review on ethics and regulatory aspects of digital health applications and devices in SSA.
