We are excited to share that the STRATEGIC Project has developed the inclusive 5C Innovation Framework for responsible digital health technologies.
The framework provides a practical and context-sensitive approach for designing, deploying, and governing digital health innovations in ways that are ethical, inclusive, sustainable, and responsive to local realities. Importantly, the framework is now informing the development of new training materials that will support researchers, innovators, policymakers, and practitioners working across digital health ecosystems.
This is particularly critical for Africa, where rapid digital transformation presents enormous opportunities for healthcare delivery, public health, and innovation, but also raises important questions around equity, governance, cultural relevance, trust, and inclusion.
The 5C Framework contributes to strengthening responsible innovation capacity by ensuring that digital health technologies are developed with communities, not just for communities. It supports a future where innovation aligns with local contexts, societal values, and long-term developmental priorities.
We invite colleagues, researchers, innovators, policymakers, and stakeholders interested in responsible digital health and innovation governance to join the STRATEGIC e-community and subscribe to our newsletter to stay connected with upcoming activities, training opportunities, and resources.
